This course is intended for therapists who have undertaken a basic body massage course, and want to understand more about formation of scar tissue and how it may impact on the body. This course does not contain a practical element and is not suitable for someone who wishes to specialise in scarwork, but it will provide the introductory knowlege. Offers 12 CPD points.

· to differentiate between different types of scar tissue
· to understand how scar tissue can negatively impact on bodily functions
· to identify when infection and other complications have been an issue in wound healing
· To identify precautions that must be taken in post surgical/post trauma clients
· To learn how to assess a clients needs with regards to their scar tissue
